Steps

1
Done

Preheat Oven

Heat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

2
Done

Prepare Lemon-Garlic Sauce

In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the lemon juice, lemon zest, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, oregano, paprika, and black pepper to make the lemon-garlic sauce.

3
Done

Prepare Foil-Lined Sheet Pan

Line a sheet pan with a large piece of foil, making sure it's large enough to fold over the salmon. Brush the top of the foil with extra virgin olive oil.

4
Done

Season and Place Salmon

Pat the salmon dry and season it generously on both sides with kosher salt. Place the seasoned salmon on the foiled sheet pan.

5
Done

Top Salmon with Lemon Garlic Sauce

Pour the prepared lemon-garlic sauce over the salmon, ensuring it is spread evenly.

6
Done

Fold and Bake

Fold the foil over the salmon (seam-side up). Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the salmon is almost completely cooked through at the thickest part. Cooking time may vary based on the thickness of your fish. If your salmon is thinner, check a few minutes early to prevent overcooking. For thicker pieces (1 ½ inches or more), it may take longer.

7
Done

Broil Salmon

Carefully remove the salmon from the oven and uncover the top of the salmon by opening the foil. Place it under the broiler for about 3 minutes, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. Watch closely to prevent overcooking and burning of the garlic.
